ALPINE ASSOCIATION REFUGES/MOUNTAIN HUTS
Ötztal valley makes not only a paradise for families and little guests. The stunning Alpine scenery also lends itself for outstanding high-altitude hiking tours to one of the Ötztal Alps’ 21 mountains higher than 3000 meters, or to the 20 serviced mountain huts and Alpine refuges.
Mountain biking
The valley has always been a true highlight for passionate mountain bikers. The network of trails has been improved again. Some 883 km of gravel and asphalt trails are waiting to be explored by avid bikers.

ÖTZTAL A PARADISE FOR HIKERS
Step by step you can discover the Ötztal along an infinite number of hiking routes. 90 serviced mountain inns, huts and snack stations await you. Highlight for passionate mountaineers: The 3,774 meter high Wildspitze peak.
Ötztal trek
The new Ötztal Trek allows hikers and mountaineers to experience the Ötztal’s pristine natural beauty. The 400-kilometer long trek comprises 22 stages with 15 alternative routes and has a total elevation gain of 30,000 meters over the length of the trek.
The trek starts at Ötztal-Bahnhof and heads in an eastern direction from hut to hut and across saddles, ridges and peaks to Obergurgl and Vent, and returns westwards to Ötztal-Bahnhof. The great thing about the Ötztal Trek is that it can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be: each stage has an access and an exit point thus allowing you to walk as many stages as you wish.

Mountain biking
In perfect tune with nature and your bicycle. More than 400 km of signposted bike trails await you. Easy routes and steep challenges. Highlight for race cyclists: A tour up to Rettenbach Glacier at 2,800 meters above sea level, Europe’s highest asphalt road for cyclists.
The Upper Ötztal valley is an outstandingly beautiful paradise for cycling and mountain biking fans. Most of the trails are steeply rising and quite challenging as they lead right to the eternal ice up to an elevation of 2,850 m.

The Aqua Dome blends perfectly into the contours of the valley. Thanks to the use of wood, stone and light, the outstanding building reflects the landscape and mountains that surround it.

The three outdoor pools are connected to the indoor pools via two brooks. The pools have a maximum depth of 1.35m, water temperatures range from 28°C to 34°C.
Brine pool
With 16m in diameter, this is the largest of the three pools (36°C). The bathing experience is enhanced with underwater and overwater music and light effects.
Massage pool/span>
There is nothing quite so relaxing as slipping into a pool and letting the warm water jets massage away any aches and strains. Special feature: a geyser at the center of the pool.
Whirl pool
Millions of air bubbles bursting in the water bring an invigorating and soothing
